 Piermont, NY, Twifties Style
Let's enjoy Piermont, NY, on the mighty Hudson River. Take a break for a nature walk with us right now, without leaving your chair Piermont will be the future site of a Twifties event. The Pier in Piermont is a lovely place to take a 2 mile walk, even though it's not really a pier. Art Rittenberg Field park next to the pier offers covered picnic tables. Downtown Piermont is a popular Twifty destination for dining, shopping, and nightlife at places like the Turning Point. We see a car called Braebus.  Twifties go hiking to the Overlook in Vernon, NJ
A group of Twifties and friends led by Twifties founder Lauren Traub Teton spend this gorgeous October day hiking, with stops for "Yoga Anywhere" led by yoga teacher Beth Nolan, and congenial conversation. Hiker Sue Babudro overshoots the turnoff and spends 45 minutes separated from the group. A search party heads out on her trail, and a happy reunion with explanation ensues. See the 2nd reel of this video where we meet a south-bound through hiker on the trail and check out his hiking gear, and we discuss the use of trekking poles, enjoying our Leki poles.(Get a pair at REI here!)
